How are the lamps powered?

Depending on the model: by USB cable, by batteries, or by a built-in rechargeable battery. It’s listed on each product page, and it determines whether the lamp can be moved around freely or has to stay near an outlet.

Can you change the color of the light?

Several models offer a range of colors, sometimes controlled by a remote or a cycle button. The product page specifies the number of available shades.

Does the lamp get hot?

These are LED lights: they give off very little heat, which makes them suitable for a nightstand, including in a child’s room.

Does it work as a night light for a child?

The soft-glow models, yes. A lamp meant to decorate a desk, on the other hand, may be too bright to leave on all night: check the stated power and color.

What is a 3D lamp?

An engraved acrylic panel, lit from the edge, that creates the illusion of depth. Seen from the side, the panel is flat — it’s from the front, once lit, that the effect appears.
